Coke Studio Partners with Shotformats for digital distribution of music

Mumbai, Mar 27 (IBNS): Coke Studio Season 4 (India), the most awaited television show this year, has given away digital rights to Shotformats, a digital distribution and VAS company in India .

The agreement covers the distribution across multiple digital platforms and formats, via online and offline channels. In addition, Shotformats becomes the sole distributor of songs of coke studio’s previous seasons, held in India and Pakistan.

Coke Studio is a global property and absolutely tailor made for great musicians to jam up together. Adding to this, Niyati Shah, Managing Director and CEO, Shotformats Digital, said, “Coke Studio is not only great music for ears but a visual treat as well watching these great talents collaborate to create new sound."

At Biscoot we don’t only focus on creating a world class music and video streaming experience but focusing on creating a destination for musicians and Coke Studio therefore was a perfect association for us. It is simply creation of great sound which attracts Internet and Mobile users as it has something different to offer," Shah said.

Coke Studio fans, across all the online and offline platforms, can enjoy world class collection of music from some of the world's top artists. Not only this, they will have access to videos, mobile wallpapers, live concert footage, ringtones, caller tunes and other digital entertainment formats of coke studio.

Shotformats will be deploying this content through its entire distribution network, which includes telecom partners, music streaming portal - bajao.biscoot.com and the innovative wide network of more than 10,000 retail outlets - Biscoot App Bazaar. Additionally, other music streaming portals in the market can avail Coke Studio content only from Shotformats.

Zee Music is the music label for this season. Shotformats distributes content for media houses, telecom firms, film companies, label and content providers among others. Now increasing number of content owners are partnering with Shotformats and utilizing their huge distribution network to monetize their content better, and thus giving the ailing entertainment industry its due share of revenues.

Coke Studio is a platform created by Coca Cola, where renowned as well as upcoming artists from various genres can collaborate musically in live studio recording sessions.

Coke Studio Season 4 started earlier this month and expects electrifying performances from renowned artists, such as, Amit Triwedi, Ankit Tiwari, Pritam, Papon, Sharmali, Raftaar, Badshah, Rekha Bhardwaj, Vishal Shekhar, Mithoon among others.
