Diljit Dosanjh's Soorma releases today

Mumbai, July 13 (IBNS): Diljit Dosanjh-starrer Hindi film Soorma, which is based on Indian Hockey legend Sandeep Singh's life, released on Friday.

Apart from Diljit, the film stars Taapsee Pannu and Angad Bedi in the lead roles.

Diljit has essayed Sandeep Singh's role onscreen.

The film is centred on how Singh, who was paralysed and used wheelchair after an attack in 2006, made a comeback to international hockey in 2008.

The film has been directed by Shaad Ali.
