Katra/Jammu: The International Film Festival concluded with a splendid Award Ceremony at Katra's Mata Vaishno Devi Spiritual Growth Centre. Notable film personalities, including actors Preeti Sapru, Yashpal Sharma, Suman Talwar, and Vijay Varma, gathered for the event.

The standout of the festival was 'Ye Rodiya,' a powerful Gojri film shedding light on the plight of Jammu and Kashmir's Bakerwal tribe. Director Sachin Dhar's vision translated flawlessly on screen, earning him the Best Director Award.

Remarkably, none of the team members spoke or understood Gojri, yet their collaborative effort resulted in a captivating cinematic masterpiece.

Producer Sanjay K Raina praised the dedicated team behind 'Ye Rodiya' and announced an upcoming short film for international festivals. Dhar, a previous award recipient, acknowledged his team's role in bringing his vision to life, reported ANI.

The film's ensemble cast and crew were celebrated, with 'Ye Rodiya' gaining recognition for its outstanding portrayal of a marginalized community. Dhar emphasized the importance of preserving artistic integrity in film festivals while embracing innovation.

In his acceptance speech, Dhar thanked Raina, the jury, and the event organizers, United Film Makers Council (Karnataka) and Harman Education and Cultural Society, while encouraging a continued focus on authentic cinematic experiences.
