Huma shoots continuously for 100 days

Mumbai, Oct 23 (IBNS) It's been a 100-day cinematic journey for actress Huma Qureshi and it shows no signs of ending as the actress's Malayalam debut, White, rolls in London on Nov 1 with a 40-day schedule.

The film, directed by Uday Ananthan, is an unusual love story between an older man, a billionaire, and a 25-year-old woman who meet in the Queen's City.

Huma's co-star is South supremo, Mammootty, who is believed to have recommended her name for the film.

London has become a familiar acting ground for the actress, who has been shooting there for almost two months with sibling Saqib Saleem for the Indian remake of the 2013 horror film Oculus.

Huma's character (originally played by Karen Gillan) has to exonerate her brother (originally played by Brenton Thwaites) from a murder charge by proving that the death was caused by a menacing ghost. The Hollywood team is working closely with director Prawaal Raman on everything, from scripting to filming and post-production.

The actress's tryst with international productions continues with Gurinder Chadha's Viceroy's House, which is currently being shot in Jodhpur. Like the title suggests, this Delhi address was the home of the British rulers in India.

In 1947, for six months, Lord Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicolas Mountbatten, the last Viceroy, lived upstairs with his wife, Edwina, and daughter. Below, 500 Hindu, Muslim and Sikh servants took up residence.
