John lit more than 600 cigarettes for Dishoom?
Mumbai, June 30 (IBNS): John Abraham who will be seen as a cop in Dishoom needed to play a chain smoker on screen.
For Dishoom, the dedicated actor had to lite more than 600 cigarettes throughout the shooting schedule of the film.
This movie has John Abraham having to sacrifice his “no cigarette” policy and having to lite close to 20 cigarettes every day.
John opines that fitness is his only drug and has thereafter steered clear of cigarettes.
Even though he quit smoking about 10 years back, he hasn’t hesitated picking up the butt due to his character requirement.
The trailer shows him holding a cigarette in almost every frame which is just an introduction to his onscreen character Kabir.
Speaking of his character, John says, "Character comes first and because it demands so, I am smoking. We do not encourage smoking at all. My character in the movie is that of a chain smoker and a lot of scenes in the film required the smoking bit."
Sajid Nadiadwala's Dishoom which revolves around two buddy cops Kabir and Junaid played by John and Varun brings to celluloid a bromance between two action heroes.
The film stars Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez in addition to John Abraham. This marks to be the first time that the trio will be seen together onscreen.
The trailer of the film has been widely loved with the audiences looking forward to the action and high dose of entertainment seen in the trailer.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Dishoom is directed by Rohit Dhawan and is all set to hit the silver screen on July 29.
