LG Mallika-E-Kitchen 2014 Season 6 eastern zonal round winner announced

Kolkata, Dec 6 (IBNS): Home Appliances leader LG Electronics India on Friday announced the winners of its Eastern zonal round of its Pan-India cooking contest LG Mallika-E-Kitchen 2014.

The Zonal round was hosted in the vibrant city of Kolkata at Hyatt Regency.

Aimed to encourage and educate Indian women to adopt smart and healthy microwave cooking, this year the campaign reached thousands of participants in around 62 cities across India.

The cooking contest has been conceptualized to provide an opportunity to Indian women to showcase their cooking talent at a national level.

Winners of the Eastern Zonal Round will now compete with contestants of other zones for the title of Mallika-E-Kitchen Cooking Queen 2014 at the Grand Finale in New Delhi on Dec 12.

Speaking on the occasion,  Ranjit Kumar – Regional Manager, East Region, LG India said; “We are pleased to successfully complete the Zonal round of LG Mallika-e-Kitchen 2014 and proceed on to the Grand Finale. Mallika-e-Kitchen is an endeavor to promote healthy cooking talents in India. This contest gives an opportunity to directly reach out to consumers and get feedback and suggestions for future innovations.”

He said, “This platform provides opportunity to amateur cooking talents of India, to showcase their skills. The phenomenal response received over the last 5 years for this campaign has encouraged us to bring out technologies for our consumers based on the insights garnered through this platform.”
