Me and Prosenjit have separate fan followings : Jeet
Power, starring Jeet, Sayantika, Nusrat Jahan, Kanchan Mallick and Rajatava Dutta, will be released on April 15, the same day of Goutam Ghose-directorial work on partition Sankhachil hitting the screens across West Bengal and Bangladesh.
“Me and Bumbada have different fan followings,” Jeet said at the press conference on ‘Power’ when asked if he did not face any challenge from a superstar like Prosenjit and possible dilution in the number of fans watching both films.
As Jeet dwells on fans, incidentallly the SRK-starrer Fan is also slated to release on the same date but Jeet again affirms each film will have its own audience.
“I have high regard for a Goutam Ghose films. I have great respect for Bumbada. But we are safe. Power is safe. It will win the masses,” Jeet said.
“The two Bengali films are absolutely of two different types. No conflict of interests,” the super-duper Bengali hit 100 Per Cent Love actor said.
Director Rajib Biswas, working with Jeet, the Boss and Game superstar for the first time, sounded optimistic that with Jeet's own loyal group of fans, the hardcore masala film will sail through.
Producers Shri Venkatesh Films' Srikant Mohta said, “While the audience of Sankhachil will be more urban-centric, Power is going to have a mix of urban-rural audience spread all over the state.”
“Also with staggered assembly election process in West Bengal, the film will not be affected by hustings,” he said.
