Narendra Modi biopic mints Rs. 2.88 crores on opening day

Mumbai, May 25 (IBNS): PM Narendra Modi, the biopic on the Prime Minister, which released a day after the BJP-led NDA registered a thumping victory in the Lok Sabha polls, made a 'lukewarm start' in the morning of its released but later gained pace as the day progressed on Friday.

The movie earned Rs. 2.88 crores at the Box Office on the opening day.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted: " #PMNarendraModi had a lukewarm start in the morning, but picked up speed as Day 1 progressed... Evening shows witnessed better occupancy... Fri ₹ 2.88 cr. India biz."

The movie released on Friday.

It is based on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Actor Vivek Oberoi is essaying the character of Modi in the movie.

The movie is directed by Omung Kumar.

On Thursday, the result of the Lok Sabha polls was declared.

Modi will take oath as the PM for the second straight term after his party registered a victory in the polls.
