'Parineeta', 'Mardaani' director Pradeep Sarkar passes away
Mumbai/IBNS: Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar, who is known for his films Parineeta, Mardaani, passed away at the age of 67 on Friday.
Sarkar, who was on dialysis, was rushed to a hospital after his condition deteriorated last night.
He passed away in hospital at 3:30 am.
Funerals will take place at a crematorium in Santacruz in Mumbai at 4 pm.
Apart from Parineeta and Mardaani, Sarkar had directed Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Lafangey Parindey, Helicopter Eela.
Some of the web series he directed are Arranged Marriage, Forbidden Love.
