Phillauri goes on floors with Baisakhi blessings
This year, it turned out to be a little more special for the cast & crew of Phillauri as the film went on floors in the heart of Punjab.
The enthusiastic cast including Anushka Sharma, Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma, have rung in their festive spirit with these special messages.
Diljit Dosanjh, Punjab’s favorite star, calls it a double celebration- Baisakhi and the start of Phillauri shoot. Fresh off the rigour and hard work of the much-awaited Sultan, an excited Anushka hopes that the good will and positive energy of Baisakhi will impact the sets of her home production too. As for the film’s youngest star, Suraj Sharma, with the traditional Sat Sri Akal salute, he is revving up to jump on this adventure.
Co-produced by Clean Slate Films (Anushka's production banner with brother Karnesh Sharma) and Fox Star Studios, Phillauri is an uncommon romantic Hindi film set in Phillaur, Punjab.
Directed by debutant Anshai Lal & written by Anvita Dutt, the film has a unique premise - it took almost 100 years, a crazy Punjabi wedding and rank strangers to complete this love story. With this premise and an interesting star cast this film will be one entertainer to surely watch out for.
Phillauri is now on floors.
