Mumbai, Sept 19 (IBNS): Recuperating from a slow start on Friday, Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink gathered momentum, amassing Rs 21.51 crore over its first weekend.

Business analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the development.

"#Pink Fri 4.32 cr, Sat 7.65 cr, Sun 9.54 cr. Total: ₹ 21.51 cr. India biz. EXCELLENT!," his tweet read.

With a current rating of 9.1 out of 10 in IMDb, Pink has also garnered rave reviews by critics and cinegoers alike.

The film is laden with superlative performances from the lead cast, headed by screen legend Amitabh Bachchan.

It also stars Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, Piyush Mishra, Angad Bedi and Dhritiman Chatterjee among others.

Pink is a 2016 Indian courtroom drama film directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, written by Ritesh Shah and produced by Rashmi Sharma and Shoojit Sircar.
