PK enjoys highest repeat audience ever

| | Dec 27, 2014, at 10:49 pm
Mumbai, Dec 27 (IBNS): Experts have said, like all other Rajkumar Hirani films, his recent release, PK seems to be enjoying a very high repeat index.
In fact, this time around it is the highest ever for any film in Hindi cinema.

The Aamir Khan starrer is a light hearted entertainer which can be watched with the entire family.

Also, the film is written in a way that the viewer, in the middle of all the jokes and laughs does not even realize that the film had a takeaway; a social message.

Due to these reasons and a very strong word of mouth, the repeat viewing of the film is very high.

The film released on Dec 19. The film has broken the record and collected the highest amount in the first week (182.58 cr) of its release which only reiterates the fact that a major chunk of the audience is going to the theaters to watch the film more than once.

Kamal Gianchandani, CEO PVR Pictures Ltd shares, “With values and ethics in flux around the world, families badly needed an outing which had a blend of entertainment & learning, ‘PK’ taps into this need on many levels and has swept cinemas across the world, whipping families into a frenzy.”

Ashish Saksena,COO Big Cinemas says, “Now that most films are essentially 3 days' affair, here comes PK with a terrific word of mouth. The collections are going up day by day and the weekday advance booking is also excellent. The film is now drawing a repeat audience, thanks mainly to the fact that PK, like all Rajkumar Hirani's films, caters to a strong middle class Indian audience and its humour is also very Indian in ethos. We expect PK to go ahead and become the most successful film ever....”

Rajender Singh Jyala, VP - Programming & Distribution said, “PK is an outstanding family entertainer with a strong message. We are getting lots of families for PK across our INOX multiplexes. With a strong word of mouth PK has already began attracting repeat audiences. All shows are almost full over the weekend across INOX multiplexes. As families and repeat audiences are coming for film, PK has all chances to emerge as a biggest Bollywood blockbuster."
