Priyanka Chopra Jonas pose with Farhan Akhtar, The Sky Is Pink director at TIFF

Toronto: Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is presently in Canada for the Toronto International Film Festival 2019, has shared an image on Instagram posing with her co-star and director of film The Sky Is Pink, Farhan Akhtar and Shonali Bose respectively.

The Sky Is Pink was premiered at the TIFF 2019 here on Thursday.

In the picture, Priyanka, who is also a popular face in Hollywood, said, "Tonight at Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto we introduce #theskyispink to the world at @tiff_net. What an exhilarating moment...I could not be more proud of this film. Are we going to see you tonight??!! 💕"

Priyanka's another co-star Rohit Saraf is also present in the frame.

The film is based on a true story of romance and tragedy. Filmmaker Bose had lost her son Ishan on September 13 nine years back and she stated during one of her interviews that The Sky Is Pink is based on a real person, Aisha Chaudhary.

Shonali added that the death of her son and the subsequent disintegration motivated her to make this film.

Shonali, in her heart-wrenching story of the Aisha (Wasim) born with a rare disease which breaks the family, her worsening condition and her death, ends the story with a powerful conclusive message of Aisha t her parents and the world at large never to lose hope.

The Sky Is Pink is slated to release on October 11 in India.
