Ranveer Singh's Simmba collects Rs. 88.58 lakhs in Australia
Mumbai, Dec 29 (IBNS): Actor Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba has collected Rs. 88.58 lakhs on the first day of its release in Australia.
The film was released on Dec 28.
Simmba also stars actress Sara Ali Khan in the lead role.
Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "A section of the industry was of the opinion that #Simmba wouldn’t rake in big numbers Overseas, due to the masala quotient... But the audience knows best... #Simmba embarks on one of the best starts in #Australia... Fri A$ 180,253 [₹ 88.58 lakhs]."
Rohit Shetty has directed the film.
