Rohit Khandelwal wins Mr World 2016 title

New Delhi, Jul 21 (IBNS): Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports (I/C) Vijay Goel congratulated Rohit Khandelwal on wining the Mr. World 2016 title. Khandelwal is the first Indian to win this title.
In a message,the minister said the success of Khandelwal at the competition reflects that the Indian youth is committed to do positive things in life and bring laurels to the country at the world arena.
 
Rohit Khandelwal, 26, from Hyderabad, won the title at the pageant held at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre, UK, on July 19, according to media reports. There were 46 contestants in all.
 
Khandelwal had won the Provogue Personal Care Mr. India World title in 2015. 
 
To prepare for the Mr World pageant, he had to undergo training under experts in the fashion & glamour industry as well as take special football and circuit training to increase his endurance to perform the various physical challenges at the pageant, media reported.
 
Khandelwal received his crown from Mr World 2014 Nicklas Pedersen. He also won a cash prize of $50,000.
