Salman Khan backs Aamir's Dangal, tweets it is better than Sultan

Mumbai, Dec 23 (IBNS) Bollywood megastar Salman Khan on Friday tweeted his support for Aamir Khan's latest film Dangal saying his family thought it was better than his own film on a similar theme.

"My Family saw #Dangal today evening and thought it was a much better film than #Sultan. Love u personally Aamir but hate u professionally !" posted Salman Khan.

Dangal (Wrestling competition) which released Friday is a biographical sports drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. It stars Aamir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari.

The former is India's first female wrestler to win at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where she won the gold medal (55 kg). Her sister Babita Kumari won the silver (51 kg).

Salman Khan's Sultan released earlier this year and was touted as a romantic sports-drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.

The film too had wrestling as its theme as it focused on Sultan Ali Khan, a fictional wrestling champion from Haryana whose successful career creates a rift in his personal life.
