Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's Stree 2 beats SRK's Jawan to become highest grossing Hindi film ever

Mumbai/IBNS: Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 has scripted history by becoming the highest grossing Hindi film ever.

Stree 2 has surpassed Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan's collection in the Hindi version.

Shraddha-Rajkummar's horror comedy has earned Rs. 586 crore surpassing Jawan's collection in Hindi, Rs. 584 crore.

Stree 2, which is directed by Amar Kaushik, was released on August 15 on the occasion of Independence Day.

It is produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Deshpande under the banner of Maddock Films and Jio Studios.

A sequel to Stree (2018), it is the fifth installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe.

Apart from Shraddha and Rajkummar, the film features Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana.
