Singers, cast release music of upcoming Bengali film Dakbaksho
Asha Audio released the music in the presence of the film's director Prosenjit Chowdhury and actress Supriti Chowdhury besides other singers like Mou, Avik and Sunetra.
Debutant director Prosenjit Chowdhury said, "A person has many different dimensions to his personality, and if he suffers from any disorder to any one of them, he becomes completely blank like a lifeless person. There are many people who have influenced me in my life, and I am extremely grateful to those who have provided me this opportunity to contribute to the making of the music of my movie."
He has also used a Rabindra Sangeet in the movie, "Ami Roope Tomay Bholabo Na" which is sung by Sunetra Banerjee.
Sharing his experience of recording for the movie, singer Monomoy mentioned his familiarity with traditional music, and thanked Tapan Bhattacharya for his guidance which helped him to give his best to his work.
He also spoke about his future views for cinema, which is a favourite pastime for the younger generation, and the responsibility of the media for the proper advertising of cinema through modern ways of communication such as QR codes and various Apps for the same.
As for Rupankar, he said the songs of this album are different from the other songs he has sung.
Though having doubts about the popularity of the album due to its low budget, he hoped that the songs will spread and touch many hearts through proper advertising. He also talked about the time when the tradition of letters was considered precious, which has now been replaced by electronic media communication.
Comparing the popularisation of cinema to that of commercial items, he believed that the product and the packaging have been sincerely brought out by the cast of the movie, but its advertising and acceptance is wholly dependent on the media.
