Singing sensation Taylor Swift donates USD 100,000 to family of victim killed at Kansas City Super Bowl parade shooting

Singing sensation Taylor Swift has donated USD 100,000 to an account set up on GoFundMe by the family members of a woman killed in the mass shooting at a Super Bowl victory parade of the Kanas City Chiefs on Wednesday.

The singer was listed as a top donor in the fundraising page created for the victim who was identified as Lisa Lopez-Galvan.

The fundraising page said: "This fund has been set up to benefit the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan. Lisa was celebrating the Chiefs Super Bowl Victory parade when senselessly killed. She is survived by two children and her husband of 22 years. She was an amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many."

Swift made two donations of USD 50,000 each.

So far, donation of USD 325,030 has been raised through the page.

What happened in Kansas?

At least one person died and 21 others were injured in a shooting incident during the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory parade in Kansas City in the USA on Wednesday.

According to reports, few children were among those injured in the incident.

Kansas City radio station KKFI says DJ died in the shooting incident

Kansas City radio station KKFI confirmed that DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan died in the shooting incident during the parade.

In a Facebook post, the radio station wrote: "It is with sincere sadness and an extremely heavy and broken heart that we let our community know that KKFI DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan, host of Taste of Tejano lost her life today in the shooting at the KC Chiefs' rally. Our hearts and prayers are with her family. We encourage anyone who feels they saw something to reach out to law enforcement at 816 234 5111."
