Brazil gears up for semis without Neymar

Fortaleza, July 5 (IBNS): With key player Neymar thrown out of thw ongoling World Cup due to injury, the rest of the Brazil team are now focusing on the crucial semi-final clash against Germany next week.

Neymar has been ruled out of the tournament due to broken vertebra.

“Neymar had a scan, which confirmed he had fractured his third vertebra,” Brazilian Football Association (CBF) doctor Rodrigo Lasmar was quoted as saying by FIFA.com.

The doctor said: “In terms of the recovery process, it’s a fracture that heals quickly, but unfortunately he’ll be in no condition to play next week.”

Brazil reached the semi-finals by beating  Colombia 2-1 in Fortaleza on Friday.
