Kolkata, Mar 14 (IBNS): Police have filed a charge-sheet against Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami in an adultery and domestic violence case.

IBNS broke the news of Shami's wife Hasin Jahan posting pictures on Facebook claiming her husband was having extramarital affairs.

The cricketer has been charged under non-bailable IPC sections 498A & 354A. The next hearing in the case is on June 22.

Police have mentioned in the charge-sheet that the statements of 28 witnesses had been recorded in the case.

Posting several screenshots of Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp messages on her Facebook wall, Indian fast bowler's wife, Hasin Jahan, claimed that Shami is having several extra-marital affairs simultaneously.

Confirming the news, Hasin Jahan's counsel Md. Zakir Hossain had told IBNS, "The incident is unfortunately true. Since last month, Hasin Jahan met me at my chamber few times and described me the situation."

"Hasin Jahan has several evidences that her husband, renowned cricketer Mohammed Shami, is engaged in several extra-marital affairs. She also claimed that Shami has affairs with several girls and he had physical relations with few of them," Hossain said. "Hasin Jahan also alleged that recently, after returning from South Africa, Shami assaulted her."

On March 8, the Kolkata police registered an  FIR against  Shami under sections of attempt to murder and torture on the basis of his wife's complaint.
