Failing to get a place in the squad, Ambati Rayudu 'orders' 3D glasses to watch World Cup

Mumbai, Apr 17 (IBNS): In a cryptic message, Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu on Tuesday said he has ordered for 3D glasses to watch the upcoming World Cup after he could not make it to the final 15 for the showpiece event.

Ambati was one of the top contenders for playing in the fourth place in the national team.

The selectors named the final 15 for the World Cup on Monday and Ambati failed to find a position in it.

Vijay Shankar, instead, made it to the final team that will represent the nation in the tournament.

In his cricket playing career, Ambati has played 55 One-day Internationals (ODIs) and scored 1,694 runs at an average of 47.05.

He has hit three centuries and 10 half-centuries in his career so far.

India will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5.

Young wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant also could not make it to eh final 15.
