After being ignored by Indian team management, Ambati Rayudu announces retirement
Hyderabad, July 3 (IBNS): Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu retired from all forms of cricket after he was not picked by the Indian team management as a replacement for injured Shikhar Dhawan and Vijay Shankar in the World Cup squad.
Rayudu was the standby player but the team management had picked Rishabh Pant and Mayank Agarwal as the replacements. Pant was also a standby player along with Rayudu.
The 33-year old right-handed batsman was also not happy after not getting picked in the Indian squad for the World Cup 2019.
He had tweeted, "Just Ordered a new set of 3d glasses to watch the world cup .."

Rayudu, who played his last One Day International (ODI) match against Australia this year, had retired from domestic cricket in 2018.
In 55 ODIs for India, Rayudu scored 1,694 runs with an average of 47.06. He scored 42 runs in six T20I matches, The middle-order batsman never represented India in Test cricket.
However, he will continue to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Rayudu gets offer to play for Iceland
Earlier the Iceland Cricket tweeted and invited Rayudu to play for their nation.
Using Ambati's 3D glasses jibe, Iceland Cricket tweeted: "Agarwal has three professional wickets at 72.33 so at least @RayuduAmbati can put away his 3D glasses now. He will only need normal glasses to read the document we have prepared for him. Come join us Ambati. We love the Rayudu things. #BANvIND #INDvBAN #CWC19."
