#donotretiredhoni trends on Twitter amid speculations of MS Dhoni's end of career
New Delhi, July 11 (IBNS): Amid speculations from round the corner that former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's retirement from international cricket is a matter of time, #donotretiredhoni has started trending on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Even after rescuing the Indian team from a grim situation against New Zealand in the World Cup semifinal on Wednesday, Dhoni failed to clinch the victory for his team. All hopes of Indian fans to reach the final were dashed after the wicketkeeper-batsman was dismissed in a runout at 50.
Chasing a target of 240, India were bowled out for 221.

Dhoni faced criticisms in World Cup 2019
Mahendra Singh Dhoni faced severe criticisms for his poor strike rate after he scored 28 off 52 balls against Afghanistan in a World Cup match. Some of the cricket experts including former skipper Sourav Ganguly had questioned Dhoni's "intent" after he failed to fire in the slog overs against England when the asking rate was going high.
Also some media reports had said that Dhoni will retire from international cricket after the World Cup.
