Kolkata, Aug 7 (IBNS): Taking on the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), ex-Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly slammed the conflict of interest notice served to his former colleague Rahul Dravid.

Dravid, the former Indian skipper, has been sent a notice by BCCI's Ombudsman-cum Ethics Officer Justice (Retd) DK Jain for remaining an employee as the vice-president of India Cements group which owns the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings and also holding the director's post in the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Hitting out at the BCCI, Ganguly tweeted, "New fashion in indian cricket .....conflict of interest ....Best way to remain in news ...god help indian cricket ......Dravid Gets Conflict of Interest Notice from BCCI Ethics Officer.."

The BCCI reacted after Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) life member Sanjeev Gupta complained against Dravid's dual role.

Gupta had earlier raised conflict of interest issue against former cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman for their dual roles in the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) and the IPL.

Ganguly had also faced a similar allegation which was brought by one Bhaswati Santua for remaining the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president and an advisor to IPL franchise Delhi Capitals simultaneously.

Few days ago, Ganguly had slammed the Indian selectors over team selections.
