Leeds, Aug 25 (IBNS) : Ben Stokes left everyone amazed by his outstanding solo performance of 135 not out against Australia and kept the team's hope alive to lift the trophy in the Ashes at Headingley.
Ben Stokes earned the tag as a match winner to lead England to repeat their record chase of 359, another classic memory in Ashes after Ian Botham in 1981.
Spectators witnessed a mesmerizing win in the third test Ashes where Stokes hit 8 sixes and 11 fours along with Jack Leach stand of 76 levelled up the score to one of the greatest innings of all time.
Ricky Pointing said, "I'm not sure I've ever seen anything better than that on a Test ground."
Matching the World Cup, Ben Stokes' contribution of 84 not out helped England to keep up and triumph over their victory during a nerve wrecking match against New Zealand where the blue lifted up the trophy.
