Kolkata/IBNS: With a superb bowling spell by Umesh Yadav on the third day, India thrashed Bangladesh by an innings and 46 runs in the day-night Pink Ball Test at Eden Gardens here on Sunday.

As Bangladesh were fighting to avoid an innings defeat after a disastrous first innings of 106 runs, Mushfiqur Rahim was the lone man fighting with his occasional attempt to go for big hits against the Indian pace battery on Sunday.

After hitting couple of fours against Ravindra Jadeja, Rahim was dismissed by Umesh Yadav in the 40th over.

The Bangladesh batsman scored 74 off 96 balls.

Picking three wickets on the last day, Umesh recorded a five-wicket haul in the second innings for 53 runs in 14.1 overs.

As Mahmudullah was retired hurt at 39, Bangladesh were wrapped up at 195.

In the first innings, India scored 347/9 dec., thanks to skipper Virat Kohli's 136.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane aptly supported Kohli scoring 55 and 51 respectively.

With the win, India sealed the two-match series 2-0.
