Army's Boys Sports Companies participates in Khelo India youth games in Guwahati

Guwahati/UNI: The 3rd Khelo India Youth games, Guwahati sees sizable participation from Army and its Boys Sports Companies(BSC).

It is a joint venture between Indian army and Sports Authority of India.

The 3rd Khelo India Youth games will be kicked  off in Guwahati on Jan 10.

Over 100 Army and Sports cadets from Army boys Sports Company will be participating in the Khelo India games.

The event will see the likes of current Junior Asian Boxing champions sports cadets Biswamitra and Vishwanath, cadet world Wrestling Championships Silver Medalist Sports cadet Prateek Patil, Junior Asian Athletics Championships Bronze Medalist in 10000M Havildar Kartik Kumar and local  weightlifting sensation Sports cadet Sidhanta Gogoi who is current Senior Bronze Medalist and is favorite to win his weight  category with record lift.

All the previously named athletes come from the famed Army Sports Institute (ASI),  Pune, which is run under the Mission Olympic program of the Army.

Over the years ASI has produced some of the top Sportsmen in the country.

The Army men and the sports cadets shall be representing their home states and the games will see lot of these sportsmen creating new records.
