Rajkot/IBNS: Shikhar Dhawan (96), KL Rahul (80) and Virat Kohli (78) put up strong performances with the bats as India posted massive 340 runs for the loss of six wickets in the second ODI match against Australia here on Friday.

Rohit Sharma looked in good touch in his 42-run knock.

Dhawan looked stylish in his approach as he hit 13 boundaries and a six in an innings which was needed for the opener.

Dhawan missed a long portion of 2019 due to injury and his form looks to impress fans who expect him to deliver this year.

Kohli added 78 crucial runs with the willow when it was needed. He hammered six boundaries in his knock as he came up to bat at three.

Rahul seems to be enjoying his best form in recent years as he added 80 runs in which he stylishly put the ball outside the park three time for sixes. He also hit six boundaries in his knock.

Australia spinner Zampa looked promising as he picked up three wickets for the national side.

Australia are 1-0 up in the series.
