Hardik Pandya's heroic 42 no helps India beat Australia by 6 wickets, clinch series

Sydney: After being defeated in the ODI series, India made a strong comeback in the T20 clashes as the visitors defeated Australia by six wickets in the second match to win the series 2-0 here on Sunday.

India's shining spot in the match was Hardik Pandya's swashbuckling 22-ball 42 which helped them reach the target of 195 runs by losing four wickets with two balls to spare.

Hardik was merciless as he smashed three boundaries and two sixes in his knock that significantly made the difference between the two competings sides.

Apart from Hardik, Iyer (12*), Virat Kohli (40), Shikhar Dhawan (52) made crucial contributions with the willows.

Earlier, Australia were restricted to 194 runs for the loss of four wickets in their quota of 20 overs.

Matthew Wade, who is captaining the Australia side, added 58 runs with the willow.

Steve Smith added 46 runs with his bat to post a competitive total on the scorecard.

Natarajan impressed with his bowling and picked up two wickets.
