Melbourne Test: India 36/1 at stumps on day 1, trail Australia by 159 runs
Melbourne/IBNS: India scored 36 for the loss of a wicket at stumps on day one of the second Test match against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground here on Saturday.
India lost the wicket in the form of Mayank Agarwal who was dismissed for a duck by Mitchell Starc.
Shubman Gill and Cheteshwar Pujara remained unbeaten at 28 and seven.

Earlier, Australia were bowled out for 195 in the first innings after winning the toss and elected to bat first.
Marnus Labuschagne was the top scorer for Australia with his 48 off 132 balls.
While Travis Head scored 38, Matthew Wade scored 30.

Nathan Lyon towards the end of the innings scored a quick 20 off 17.
India's premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah picked four wickets while spinner Ravichandran Ashwin clinched three leaving the rest for Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja.
