Former Indian cricketer L Sivaramakrishnan joins BJP ahead of Tamil Nadu Assembly polls

Chennai: Former Indian cricketer L Sivaramakrishnan on Wednesday joined the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the Tamil Nadu assembly polls.

She joined the party in the presence of national secretary and Tamil Nadu in-charge C T Ravi.  

Tamil Nadu will vote to elect a new assembly next year.

The leg-spinner had made his Test debut at the age of 17 against the West Indies.  

After retirement from cricket, he had even earned attention as a cricket commentator.
