Pune: Pacer T Natarajan kept his nerves cool to bowl a sensational 50th over to help India manage to beat England by seven runs and win the series 2-1 here on Sunday.

After posting 329 runs on the scorecard, India faced a tough challenge from  spirited Sam Curran, who remained unbeaten at 95 runs, but a smart last over by the young Indian left-arm seamer managed to keep the visitors score 322 runs for the loss of nine wickets.

Curran remained a shinning spot in the English batting after being reduced to 200 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Ben Stokes (35), Dawid Malan (50), Liam Livingstone (36), Moeen Ali (29) departed after getting a start, making things tough for England.

Young Curran gave Virat Kohli and his men a nightmare with his bold knock that included nine boundaries and three sixes.

Curran and Mark Wood  (14) put up a strong partnership to pose a strong challenge to the India.

It was Wood's run out in the final over that changed the momentum and Natarajan gave away just six runs to ensure a victory at the end for the home side.

Shardul Thakur picked up four wickets and Bhuvneshwar Kumar managed three for India.

Indian fielders looked sloppy on the field during the match and several instances of misfielding and even catch drops surely helped England.
