Clarke has been declared fit for the match, officials said.
"Michael Clarke to play first Test v India. S Marsh & Hazlewood to miss out," cricket.com.au tweeted.
Late Australian cricketer Phil Hughes has been named the '13th man' in the squad.
"Phillip Hughes named 13th man for first Test, while Michael Clarke is fit to play," read another tweet.
Hughes was batting on 63 when he was struck in the head by a bouncer from Sean Abbott.
Hughes tried to regain his composure but fell face first to the ground and was taken to the hospital.
The first Test match of the series will start form Tuesday.
