Tokyo/IBNS: In a heartbreak for India, Deepika Kumari's Tokyo Olympics 2020 journey ended Friday as she lost to South Korea's An San 0-6 in the women's individual recurve archery event in the quarterfinal clash.

Earlier she had defeated former world champion Ksenia Perova of Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) in a thrilling shoot off to reach the quarterfinal.

Earlier Friday, India guaranteed the second medal in the ongoing Tokyo Olympics 2020 after boxer Lovlina Borgohain won the quarterfinal clash here.

Lovlina defeated her Chinese Taipei opponent, Nien-Chin Chen, to cruise into the semifinals, securing at least a bronze medal.

Borgohain, a two-time world championship bronze-medallist, outclassed Chen 4-1 to make the last-four.
