Tokyo Paralympics: Pramod Bhagat wins gold, Manoj Sarkar clinches bronze in badminton event

Tokyo: Indian badminton star Pramod Bhagat created history on Saturday as he won the gold medal in the badminton singles event of the Tokyo Paralympics here.

He defeated Daniel Bethell of Great Britain to clinch the medal.

He defeated his opponent by 21-14, 21-17.

Apart from Bhagat, Manoj Sarkar defeated Daisuke Fujihara of Japan 22-20, 21-13 to bag bronze medal.
