T20 World Cup: Pakistan outplay Namibia by 45 runs

Abu Dhabi/IBNS: Pakistan outplayed Namibia by 45 runs in a Group 2 match of T20 World Cup 2021 here Wednesday.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 189/2 in 20 overs.

While Mohammad Rizwan remained unbeaten at 79 off 50 balls, his opening partner skipper Babar Azam slammed 70 off 49 balls.

Mohammad Hafiz played a cameo of 32 off 16 balls in the last few overs of the innings.

In reply, Namibia, who were never aggressive in the run chase, could score only 144/5 in 20 overs.

David Diese (unbeaten 43) and Craig Williams (40) were the top scorers for the side.

Pakistan, who are already in the semis, have further strengthened their position in the Group as they are yet to be defeated in the tournament.
