India's Under-19 World Cup winning captain Yash Dhull slams century in Ranji debut
Guwahati/IBNS: India's Under-19 World Cup winning captain Yash Dhull on Thursday slammed a century on his debut match in the Ranji Trophy against Tamil Nadu in Baraspara here.
Dhull, who lifted the World Cup a few days ago, took 133 balls to reach the hundred.
The Delhi batsman scored 113 runs off 150 balls, hammering 18 fours in his innings.
Though he was bowled out when he was batting at 97, the young batter got a reprieve after the delivery was signalled 'no ball'.
With the century, Dhull joined the elite list of batters comprising greats like Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, who have slammed a hundred on their Ranji debut.
Earlier in the day, Tamil Nadu won the toss and sent Delhi to bat first.
