Indian cricket board (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly has ended his vacation in London to return to the country to witness the 100th Test match of former skipper Virat Kohli.

Kohli will achieve the landmark in the first Test between India and Sri Lanka beginning in Mohali on Friday.

In an Instagram post, Ganguly, who himself played more than 100 Tests, wrote, "Time to say bye to the great city ..it's always hard ..on my way to Chandigarh."

Ganguly was holidaying with his daughter Sana who studies in London.

Though BCCI had initially said no to spectators in the Test match, in the latest development, the cricket board has allowed 50 percent spectators in the landmark match of Kohli.
