Ahmedabad Test: Australia 149/2 at tea on day 1 against India

Ahmedabad/IBNS: Australia steadied their innings scoring 149/2 at tea on the first day of the fourth Test against India here on Thursday.

India failed to get a breakthrough in the second session of the day.

Usman Khawaja (65) and Steven Smith (38) were unbeaten when the visitors went to the change room for tea.

The two wickets fell were in the form of Travis Head (32) and Marnus Labuschagne (3).

Head and Labuschagne were dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Shami respectively.

Earlier, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first in their must-win game.

India are ahead of Australia 2-1.
