Bangladeshi cricketer Shakib Al Hasan was recently caught on camera slapping a man.

Shakib began his political career on Sunday when he won the national polls seat at Magura-1 for the ruling Awami League.

According to local media reports, the incident happened on polling day.

When Shakib went to a polling station on the polling day on Sunday, someone from the crowd grabbed him from behind and pulled his shirt, Dhaka Tribune reported.

Shakib reportedly lost his temper and hit the man.

Shakib Al Hasan cast his vote at Darimagura Government Primary School polling centre in Magura on Sunday. He went to the centre with his father, sister and close relatives at 7:55am, the newspaper reported.

Awami League won the polls and returned to power for the fifth term on Sunday.
