India beat Afghanistan in warm-up

Adelaide, Feb 10 (IBNS): Indian finally tasted victory as they defeated Afghanistan by 153 runs in a warm-up match against Afghanistan here on Tuesday.

Posting a mammoth 364 runs for the loss of five wickets, Afghanistan scored 211 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs.

Rohit Sharma hammered 150 runs off 122 balls where he smashed 12 boundaries and seven sixes.

Suresh Raina (75) and Ajinkya Rahane (88) also contributed well with their willows.

Hamid Hassan, Dawlat Zadran, Shapoor Zadran and Mohammad Nabi picked up a wicket each for Afghanistan.

Chasing the total, Nawroz Mangal remained the top scorer for Afghanistan with his 60.

Mohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each for India.

Indian players registered a victory after long time as they were thrashed by Australia and England in the recent tri-series and then in the first warm-up game ahead of the World Cup.
