Lucknow/IBNS: Caribbean allrounder Sunil Narine powered Kolkata Knight Riders to a huge win of 98 runs over Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at Ekana Cricket Stadium here.

After being put to bat first by the hosts, Kolkata slammed 235/6 in 20 overs, courtesy Narine's 81 from 39 balls.

Phil Salt's quick 32 and Ramandeep Singh's 25 from 6 balls down the order powered Kolkata to a monumental score.

After the bat, Narine clinched a wicket at a cheap economy rate along with Harshit Rana's 3/24 to help Kolkata bowl Lucknow out for just 137 runs.

Though Marcus Stoinis (36 from 21 balls) was trying to chase the target, his dismissal led to the collapse of the Lucknow batting order.

With the win, Kolkata are now at the top of the IPL standings with 16 points from 11 matches.
