England kept their hopes of reaching the Super 8 stage of the T20 World Cup by registering an eight-wicket victory against Oman on Thursday.

England just took 19 balls to smash 50 runs for the loss of two wickets, chasing Oman's 47 runs knock, and improving their net run rate.

Jos Buttler remained unbeaten at 24 and remained the top scorer for the squad.

Omani bowlers dismissed Phil Salt  (12) and Will Jacks (5) in the run chase.

Jonny Bairstow (8*) joined Buttler to reach the target.

Jonny Bairstow and Kaleemullah picked up a wicket each for Oman, a nation already eliminated from the multi-nation tournament.

English spinner Adil Rashid picked up four wickets while Jofra Archer and mark Wood scalped three each to destroy the opponents.
