Hardik Pandya's all-round display on the field helped India beat Bangladesh by 50 runs to maintain their unbeaten run in the ongoing T20 World Cup here on Saturday.

After posting a competitive 196 runs for the loss of five wickets in their quota of 20 overs with Hardik displaying his power batting skills and contributing 50 unbeaten runs, Indian bowlers completed the task by restricting the opponents to 146 for the loss of eight wickets.

Rohit Sharma (23), Virat Kohli (37) and Rishabh Pant (36) provided India the much-needed start to the innings.

Bangladesh kept taking wickets at regular intervals but Hardik's late attack left their plans completely disarrayed.

Shivam Dube contributed 34 runs with his willow.

Pandya remained brutal in his knock as he hammered four boundaries and three sixes in his innings.

Rishad Hossain and Tanzim Hasan Sakib picked up two wickets each for Bangladesh.

In response, Bangladesh struggled in front of the promising Indian attack led by Jasprit Bumrah.

The Indian bowlers dominated the proceedings with Kuldeep Yadav scalping 3/19, dismissing key players including Tanzid and Shakib Al Hasan. Jasprit Bumrah took 2/28, including the crucial wicket of Shanto.Arshdeep Singh 2/30 left the batting lineup for the neighbouring nation rattled.

Hardik picked up the important wicket of Litton Das (13).

Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto remained the top scorer for Bangladesh with his 40.
