Riding on a strong show by young cricketers led by Sanju Samson's remarkable 58-run knock and Muksh Kumar's four wickets, India wrapped up the series with a 4-1 win after the visitors beat Zimbabwe by 42 runs in the fifth T20 International match of the series on Sunday.

India posted a competitive 167 runs for the loss of six wickets and then the bowlers completed the task by bowling out the Red and Yellow brigade for 125.

This was the first tournament India played after the historic T20 World Cup victory in West Indies.

This series was played by young players led by skipper Shubman Gill and India faltered in the opening match when the hosts defeated them.

Samson hammered four sixes and a boundary in his 45-ball knock to keep the Zimbabwe bowlers busy.

Riyan Parag (22) and Shivam Dube (26) contributed some runs with the willow in the match which assumed no significance since India had already won the series.

Blessing Muzarabani picked up two wickets for Zimbabwe.

Dion Myers contributed 34 runs and opener Tadiwanashe Marumani added 27 but with wickets falling at regular intervals, Zimbabwe struggled with the run chase.

Faraz Akram, Zimbabwe's other Pakistan-born cricketer apart from their skipper, shot 27 runs at the end.

Mukesh Kumar remained the pick of the bowlers when he dismissed four wickets to shatter the innings of the host team.
