Indian badminton sensation Lakshya Sen put up a dominant show against  Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie and beat him to reach the Round 16 stage of the Paris Olympics on Wednesday.

Sen defeated his opponent 21-18, 21-12 in the Group L clash of the men's angles event.

The spectators on the court felt the excitement when Sen showed his prowess in tackling the opponent with his confident performance.

The match was a test for Sen since his opponent is the current All England champion.

The Indonesian started the first set clash by putting up a strong show where he took early leads.

Sen bounced back and eventually clinched the highly-tensed encounter 21-18.

In the second set, Sen did not give his opponent an opportunity to bounce back and sealed a win.
