| @indiablooms | Sep 04, 2024, at 11:41 pm

Sachin Khilari ensured India increased its medals tally further after he won silver in the Paris Paralympics on Wednesday.

Khilari won the medal by throwing 16.32m in the men's shot put F46 event.

He ended his run just behind  Canada's Greg Stewart.

Khilari's effort was the best show put up by an Indian in the Paralympics so far in the F46 event.

Expectations were high from Khilari since he arrived in Paris after winning World Champions and the Asian Games.

PM Narendra Modi congratulated Sachin Khilari on winning Silver medal in the Men’s Shotput F46 event at Paris Paralympics 2024.

“Congratulations to Sachin Khilari for his incredible achievement at the #Paralympics2024! In a remarkable display of strength and determination, he has won a Silver medal in the Men’s Shotput F46 event. India is proud of him," he said.
