Records were broken on the auction table on Sunday after Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant was bought for a record Rs. 27 crore by Lucknow Super Giants.
He is now the costliest player to be ever bought in the history of the tournament.

During the same session, Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer was sold to Punjab Kings for Rs 26.75 crore.
Iyer was the skipper of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad in 2024.
Previously, Australian speedster Mitchell Starc was the costliest cricketer bought during an IPL auction for Rs 24.75 Crore.
Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders had bought him.
