VVS congratulates Gayle for his double century

Mumbai, Feb 24 (IBNS): Former Indian batsman VVS Laxman on Tuesday congratulated West Indies all-rounder Chris Gayle for returning to form by smashing a double century against Zimbabwe in a World Cup group stage match.

"Congrats @henrygayle on scoring first 200 in a World Cup match. Welcome back to form mate. Watch out bowlers:)#CWC2015

Gayle smashed 215 runs against the African side to set a new World Cup record of scoring the first double century in the 50-over mega cricket event.

West Indies beat Zimbabwe by 73 runs by D/L method.
